In Fantasy Football, players earn points based on the real-life performance of the athletes in their team. Here’s a breakdown of the typical scoring system for both offensive and defensive players:
Offensive Players (Attackers)
Goals Scored
4 points for a goal scored by a Forward, Midfielder
6 points for a goal scored by a Defender
Assists
3 points for an assist
Clean Sheets
4 points for a Defender or Goalkeeper keeping a clean sheet (no goals conceded)
Shots on Target
1 point for each shot on target
Key Passes
1 point for each key pass (a pass that leads directly to a shot on goal)
Yellow Card
-1 point for a yellow card
Red Card
-3 points for a red card
Own Goal
-2 points for an own goal
Minutes Played
1 point for every 60 minutes played
Defensive Players
Clean Sheets
6 points for a Defender or Goalkeeper keeping a clean sheet
Tackles
1 point for every 2 tackles made
Interceptions
1 point for each interception
Blocked Shots
1 point for each shot blocked
Clearances
1 point for each clearance made
Goalkeepers
Saves
1 point for every 3 saves made
Clean Sheet

3 points for a team’s victory in a match

-1 point for each goal conceded by a team’s goalkeeper or defenders

Substitute Appearance
1 point for a substitute appearance (if they play at least 1 minute)
Bench Points
Bench players can score points based on their performance, but only if they are substituted in during the game.
